KickStart Web Site Program

Is your small organization ready for its first web site, or in need of one that staff and volunteers can easily update? NPower Oregon's new KickStart Web Site Program may be just for you. The KickStart Web Site Program is a series of low-cost packages specifically designed to "kick start" your small organization's new web site. Each package includes:

  • A web site built in Joomla, an award-winning Open Source Content Management System (CMS); learn more about Joomla
  • A set number of pages (based on package)
  • A set number of images optimized for the web (based on package)
  • Basic documentation and training on how to use your new Content Management System
  • A template for your site (choose from one of these templates)

The starter packages only include one of the pre-designed templates, and range in cost from $600-900 with customization available for an additional cost. Nonprofit members of the Nonprofit Association of Oregon receive a $100 discount on the basic package. For more details and information on how to apply, view this Readiness Guide.

Basic Starter Web Site Program Includes

  • Installed instance of Joomla 1.5.x (most current version)
  • Creation of up to 5 pages (client provides all content)
  • Loading and optimization of up to 5 images + an existing logo (if applicable)
  • Select from available options of template choices
  • Basic training documentation

Premium Starter Web Site Program Includes

  • Assistance with setting up web site hosting account
  • Assistance creating up to a max of 5 email accounts for domain (This does not include any ongoing email support. This would be directed to the hosting provider)
  • Installed instance of Joomla 1.5.x (most current version)
  • Creation of up to 8 pages (client provides all content)
  • Loading and optimization of up to 10 images + an existing logo (if applicable)
  • Select from available options of template choices
  • Inclusion of Google Analytics Website Statistics functionality
  • Basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Basic training documentation

The Application Process

Step 1: Review the Readiness Guide
Step 2: Choose the appropriate package, Basic or Premium
Step 3: Make sure you have completed the necessary tasks (defined in Readiness Guide)
Step 4: Submit an application for appropriate package (online, links below)
Step 5: Upon approval receive an email explaining how to get started with program
