A Profile of Cliff Jones, Senior Consultant
Cliff is a highly experienced consultant, trainer, and recognized expert in nonprofit management and development. In the 17 years he has been on the Consulting Team at NAO/TACS he has assisted thousands of nonprofits with board development, strategic planning, conflict resolution, and cross-cultural communication.
On any given day you can find Cliff presenting a training on outcome evaluation, facilitating a constituent engagement meeting, or leading a staff retreat. Many of the organizations he works with have used our consulting services for years. These long-term relationships build institutional knowledge and history we can use each time we go in to help them with a particular organizational development issue.
Our consulting team doesn't have a set template for the organizational development and capacity building work they do. They use a customized approach that takes into account the particular challenges and organizational culture of the groups they are working with. Having consulted with so many organizations, as well as government agencies, Cliff and his fellow NAO/TACS consultants can identify important trends in the field, assess different approaches in different settings, and adapt to changing needs.
Cliff brings more than 30 years of experience in social service, community education, and human rights advocacy to his work as a Senior Consultant. He is co-founder of Tools for Diversity, a multi-cultural team that addresses problems caused by discrimination and prejudice, and helps build culturally competent organizations. He has experience as a frontline staff, supervisor, project manager, and executive director. He is a trusted resource for nonprofits seeking to improve their cultural competency, engage in strategic planning, develop their board and staff leadership, or evaluate their impact.
