About NAO
The Nonprofit Association of Oregon (NAO) was founded in June 2007 to provide a voice for Oregon's nonprofit sector. NAO is a program of TACS, a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit with over thirty years of experience providing consulting and training services for nonprofits in Oregon, Washington, and California.
NAO is proud to serve more than 400 nonprofit member organizations and nearly 100 associate members. Our membership reflects the strength and diversity of Oregon's nonprofit community, from small volunteer-run cultural organizations to large, multi-site social service agencies.
NAO also offers a national perspective on issues affecting the sector through our membership in the National Council of Nonprofits.
NAO Nonprofit Members
Nonprofit organizations that qualify for tax exempt status under 501 (c)(3) are eligible to become nonprofit members of NAO. A sliding scale annual membership fee and practical and valuable nonprofit member benefits make supporting NAO a smart choice. Through nonprofit membership you will
- Increase capacity: Gain knowledge, training, and resources for fundraising, marketing, technical assistance, personnel management, and governance
- Save money: Receive discounts on online giving tools, website templates, TACS trainings, and more
- Advocate effectively: Track state and national topics and advance critical policy issues affecting the sector
- Foster leadership and collaboration: Share best practices and create strategic partnerships that expand services and support
- Achieve excellence: Honor standards of practice and accountability that advance the sector and help you realize your mission
NAO Associate Members
NAO offers associate memberships to individuals, businesses, and professionals who are deeply committed to supporting Oregon’s nonprofit sector. NAO’s associate members also include nonprofits that are not 501 (c)(3) charitable organizations, such as Chambers of Commerce, mutual benefit organizations, and others committed to supporting their communities.
