Nonprofit membership in NAO is available to organizations in Oregon that meet the requirements of the IRS for tax exempt status under section 501 (c)(3) of the tax code or that must register as a charitable organization with Oregon's Department of Justice. The state-specific, comprehensive directories of grantmaking foundations include a categorical listing of grants awarded for the most recent year on record, as well as the foundation's stated purpose for making awards. NAO News and Alerts

Stay in the know with NAO’s quarterly e-newsletter and timely e-mail alerts when there is breaking news that affects the nonprofits. NAO communications contain resources and links to pertinent information that you can use and share with colleagues.

Discount on TACS' trainings

NAO's parent organization, TACS, currently produces more than 100 training events each year, including full and half-day workshops and 90-minute sessions delivered at six statewide professional nonprofit networks. Staff at nonprofit member organizations receive a 10% discount on all TACS trainings and networks.

Member and Sector Surveys

In addition to our own regular member surveys on demographics, benefits, and public policy issues, NAO partners with foundations and others to promote surveys on topics of interest to the sector. Whenever possible, survey results are made available on our website.
