The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) helps cover costs of health insurance premiums after job loss

The federal stimulus package (ARRA) provides nine months of subsidy to help pay monthly health insurance costs for employees who lose their jobs and qualify under state or federal law to continue their employer health insurance.

Tompkins Benefit Group has prepared this helpful matrix that outlines the State Continuation regulation, which covers organizations with fewer than 20 employees. The federal law applies to COBRA-eligible organizations (organizations with 20 or more employees). For more information about the assistance, visit Oregon's Department of Consumer and Business Services website.
