IRS Offers Help to Nonprofits that Missed Critical Filing Deadline
Organizations that were not able to file the required annual return by May 17 are in jeopardy of losing their tax-exempt status. Without tax-exemption, your organization may not receive tax-deductible contributions and will have to file again for recognition as tax-exempt with the IRS. If your organization missed the May 17 deadline, read this statement from IRS Commissioner Doug Shulman.
