Each year, thousands of nonprofit staff, board members, volunteers and consultants participate in our trainings to gain the knowledge and skills needed for success. Topics include board development, cultural competency, fiscal management, fundraising, communications, management, planning, technology and more.

Types of Training Events

We offer a range of training programs:

  • Workshops: These hands-on, interactive trainings explore a variety of topics to help you start and run your nonprofit effectively. Workshops are partial to full day trainings that are held in Portland, Salem, Bend, Eugene, and Medford.
  • Peer Networks & Training Series: These monthly training sessions provide timely and expert updates in short, regular doses. You'll find opportunities to solve problems, share best practices and offer peer support. We operate four networks in Portland: DLN, EDN, NBN, and NFMA; the MVEDN in Salem; NNCO in Bend; and the TACS/RVDP Training Series in Medford.
  • Online learning: Affordable, convenient training that is accessible to nonprofits throughout the state and beyond.
  • Customized training: Our consultants work with your organization's specific needs to design training on a variety of core issues.
