Presentation: 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm

Event Description

In the 2010 Nonprofit Fundraising Trends survey, nonprofit leaders identified boards as the weak link in fundraising. Seventy-four percent of the 132 responding organizations identified the need for greater relationship building and leadership in fundraising. Nonprofit leaders identified other board shortfalls in the areas of:

  • Big picture thinking
  • Holding the executive director accountable
  • Visibility in the community
  • Supporting staff

We'll explore each of these areas, how they are intertwined, and what you can do right away to make progress.

Participants who register for this session of the TACS/RVDP training series will receive a link to a survey intended to be taken by both board members and staff. We will use the results to report back to you and inform what next steps will be most useful for you and your organization.
